Grievances and Redressal Cell

KVELL’s Grievance Redressal Committee addresses academic, financial, administrative, and harassment-related complaints from students, in line with AICTE regulations.
KVELL enforces a strict, zero-tolerance anti-ragging policy across all constituent colleges, in line with Supreme Court and UGC guidelines. Report ragging directly through our Anti-Ragging Cell.

About the Grievance Redressal Cell

Every student runs into a problem at some point that needs more than a passing conversation to fix. KVELL’s Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC) exists for exactly that, formed in line with AICTE’s regulations on establishing a proper grievance redressal mechanism in technical institutions. The goal is straightforward: keep the campus environment fair and give students a genuine path to resolution rather than a complaint that disappears into silence.

The Committee is built around a few clear commitments. Students get immediate, hassle-free access to raise a grievance. Both the person raising the complaint and the person it’s raised against are treated fairly, without discrimination or retaliation against either side. And the process itself stays consistent, so outcomes depend on the facts of the case, not who’s asking.

Scope of the Grievances

Grievances handled by the Committee can fall into any of these categories:

  1. Academic Matters — assessment, attendance, marks, and other examination-related issues
  2. Financial Matters — fee charges, scholarships, and payment issues
  3. Administration Matters — infrastructure, basic amenities, sanitation, hostel, transport, or victimization
  4. Harassment and Ragging — by fellow students or by teachers

How to Report a Grievance

Students can raise a grievance through any of these channels:

  1. In person, by approaching the Chairman of the Committee directly
  2. Online, through the university’s grievance redressal submission page
  3. By email to the university’s grievance address
  4. In writing, addressed to the Chairman, Grievance Redressal Committee, at the relevant campus address

How the Process Works

  1. Once an application is received, the Chairman fixes a date, time, and venue for a Committee meeting, in consultation with all members
  2. The meeting is scheduled within five days of receiving the application
  3. Relevant documents are shared with all Committee members ahead of the meeting
  4. The applicant receives written notice to attend and present their grievance, with acknowledgment of receipt recorded
  5. If the applicant is a minor, they may be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian; no one else is permitted in the meeting
  6. The Committee reviews the facts, evidence, and applicable rules, and records its findings and recommendations in official minutes
  7. Minutes are circulated to all Committee members for signature
  8. The Committee’s decision is communicated to the applicant in writing, as promptly as possible
