COLLEGE OF EMERGING SCIENCES
Integrated M.Sc. in Cardiac Technology
ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
Integrated M.Sc. in Cardiac Technology
Cardiovascular disease remains one of the biggest health burdens in the country, and cardiac units run on skilled technologists as much as they run on cardiologists. This programme trains students in the anatomy and physiology of the heart, cardiovascular diseases, diagnostic procedures, therapeutic interventions, and the operation of advanced cardiac equipment, then puts that knowledge to work through practical training in hospitals, cardiac catheterization laboratories, intensive cardiac care units, operation theatres, and non-invasive diagnostic laboratories. Graduates step out equipped to assist cardiologists and cardiac surgeons directly, not just understand cardiac care from a textbook.
